Sartobran P
Sartobran® P, with its unique cellulose acetate (CA) membrane, is mainly used for the sterile filtration of blood and plasma products, as well as viral vaccines.
The low-binding properties of the membrane material lead to high product yield. In particular, large, stress-sensitive proteins retain their structure and function when filtered through this special membrane. With this feature, Sartobran® P further improves your process outcomes.

High Product Yield
The cellulose acetate membrane of Sartobran® P has one of the lowest levels of non-specific adsorption among available membrane materials, ensuring the highest product recovery rates. In addition, especially large, shear-sensitive proteins retain their structure and function when filtered through this special membrane.
Flexibility and Scalability
All Sartobran® P 0.2 μm filters use the same membrane type and the same construction materials. Filter elements are available with various filtration areas, from 0.015 m² | 0.54 ft² up to 1.8 m² | 19.4 ft², providing simple and excellent process flexibility as well as predictable linear scale-up.
Compatibility
Sartobran® P 0.2 μm filter elements cover most relevant biopharmaceutical applications with pH values between 4 and 8.
