Sartobind® 96-Well Plates
Sartobind® 96-well plates consist of separate 8-well strips and are ideal tools for screening chromatography operating conditions.
Sartobind removes contaminants under high-salt conditions. Salt-tolerant interaction chromatography, STIC, with a PA ligand is based on the principles of anion exchange chromatography, AEX. AEX is an established method for removing process-derived contaminants such as host cell proteins, HCP, DNA, endotoxins, and adventitious and endogenous viruses.

It is performed in flow-through mode during the downstream processing of monoclonal antibodies, mAbs. The process is driven by throughput rather than mass; therefore, membrane chromatography, MC, offers advantages over columns for contaminant removal, as membranes can operate at flow rates up to two orders of magnitude higher.
Membranes are easy to use and, just like filters, can be discarded after a single use to save validation costs.
