Ready-to-Use Culture Media - NKS

Ready-to-use culture media: dried media pads in pre-sterilized Petri dishes, supplied with suitable membrane filters, for economical and time-saving microbiological quality control. No other ready-to-use culture medium can guarantee consistently high-quality and reproducible results for up to 24 months.

After moistening with 3.0–3.5 ml of sterile and demineralized or purified water, they are immediately ready to use. The moisture level is optimal when a ring of excess water is visible around the NPS.

The standard NPS box contains 100 sterile Nutrient Pads, each individually placed in a Petri dish and sterilized. Each of these Petri dishes is sealed in an aluminum pouch. This special pouch packaging protects the sensitive formulation components of the Nutrient Pad from fluctuations in humidity and temperature during transport and storage. As a result, it guarantees the high quality of our NPS throughout their shelf life of up to 24 months. This makes Sartorius Nutrient Pad Sets unique: no other ready-to-use culture medium worldwide can guarantee consistently high-quality and reproducible results for up to 24 months.

Compliance with international standards: Sartorius currently offers more than 30 different types of Nutrient Pad Sets to meet the various requirements of microbiological analysis. In addition to the European Drinking Water Directive, they comply with other international regulations and recommendations: international pharmacopoeias, DIN and ISO standards, American water and food standards, mineral water regulations, brewing guidelines such as MEBAC or EBC, and food industry references such as LMBG, NCA, and ICUMSA.

Includes membrane filters: all Nutrient Pad Set types are also supplied with suitable membrane filters, individually sterile-packed. Nutrient Pad Sets are also available with Microsart® e.motion Membrane Filters, which are specially designed for the Microsart® e.motion Dispenser and can be conveniently loaded. The membrane filters are then automatically removed from their sterile packaging. All membrane filters, designed to meet the specific requirements of microbial detection, are available in diameters of 47 or 50 mm.
