Octet RH16

Octet RH16

From IgG titration to epitope binning, the Octet® RH16 system delivers label-free biomolecular interaction analysis through state-of-the-art high-throughput platforms that facilitate the rapid characterization and development of biotherapeutic molecules.

The high detection sensitivity, throughput, and 384-well plate compatibility of the Octet® RH16 system also make it a preferred instrument for small-molecule library screening and cross-competitive binding analysis. The Octet® RH16 instrument further supports additional automation to reduce hands-on time and operator intervention. Target ligands can be immobilized in bulk on biosensors and returned to the biosensor tray for reuse in future experiments, extending biosensor usability, conserving valuable ligands, and maximizing flexibility in experimental design.

  • Analyze up to 16 samples simultaneously.
  • Simplifies workflow with automation-ready microplate and biosensor tray loading.
  • GxP packages available – Includes 21 CFR Part 11 software and complete IQ/OQ/PQ kits, protocols, and services for regulatory compliance.

  • Categories: Protein Analysis | Octet Label-Free Detection System |

  • Supports both 96-well and 384-well microplate formats.
  • Assay samples can be organized in either 96-well or 384-well plates depending on workflow requirements and sample volumes.
  • Two microplate positions maximize throughput and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Larger sample and reagent capacities are supported to reduce hands-on instrument time.
  • The microfluidics-free Dip and Read format reduces assay time and maintenance costs.
  • The Octet® RH16 system uses Dip and Read™ technology, where biosensors are immersed into and read samples contained within microplates. Since no fluidics are involved, Octet® systems provide greater uptime and lower operating costs.

Applications

ELISA Conversion

ELISA assays are well known for result variability, susceptibility to human error, and long turnaround times. High-throughput Octet® systems are designed to overcome these limitations.

Epitope Binning

Epitope binning identifies and classifies antibody candidates that bind to similar epitope regions on an antigen. Octet® epitope binning assays are based on testing the sequential binding capability of two antibodies against a single antigen. Fast assay times, high throughput, exceptional reproducibility, and dedicated software tools make Octet® platforms ideal for analyzing large antibody libraries.

Protein Contaminant Testing

Protein contaminants represent a significant challenge during biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The rapid, high-throughput protein analysis capabilities of the Octet® platform, combined with Anti-CHO HCP and Residual Protein A kits, provide biopharmaceutical developers with a fast and easy-to-use solution for contaminant testing.
